A Pride Parade is a march for the LGBT community. The events also at times serve as demonstrations for legal rights such as same-sex marriage. Most pride events occur annually and many take place around June to commemorate the Stonewall riots, a pivotal moment in the modern LGBT rights movement.
These parades are held with such glam, they are fun for all participants (not restricted to members of the LGBT community but many straights too converge). These parades are a regular part of cities festivals. In fact some even have a week of festivity attached to them along along with cultural shows and events.
