Cosmo World
The main feature of this amusement park is one of the biggest Ferris wheels in the world, having a height of 112.5 meters and capacity of 480 passengers. Other attractions include a roller coaster and a rapid rafting ride. Operating hours of the Ferris wheel may vary depending on how crowded it is. |
Minato Mirai 21
A seaside urban area in central Yokohama whose name means "harbor of the future". It has many large high-rises, including Japan's tallest building, the Landmark Tower. Minato Mirai is blessed with a great location along the water and has a wealth of attractions. Shopping centers, hotels, a convention center, an amusement park, a relaxation center with hot spring baths, museums and park space. |
Chinatown
Japan's largest. A lot of Chinese stores and restaurants can be found in the narrow and colorful streets of Chinatown. Four colorful gates stand at the entrances to Chinatown, and five more gates can be found within. The Kanteibyo is a gaudily colored temple in the center of Chinatown. The main attraction of the Yokohama Chinatown, however, is the cuisine offered at its many restaurants and food stands. |
Zoorasia
Japan's newest, largest and best kept zoos. The animals are generally kept in spacious areas that mimic their natural habitat to a degree. The animal exhibitionsare spread out amongst 7 ecological areas: Asian , Subarctic, Oceanian, Central, Countryside, Amazon and African. Highlights are the elephants, polar bears, black bears, okapi and proboscis monkeys. There are also nature trails and recreation for kids. |
Kirin Beer Village
The main attraction of the Beer Village are the free brewery tours, which offer a glimpse into the brewing facilities and some free beer tasting. Brewery tours last one hour and lead along a gallery with views of fermentation tanks as well as the canning and bottling areas. |
