Debre Zeyit
It is a resort town, known for five crater lakes: Lake Bishoftu, Lake Hora (a base for watersports, many water birds and an annual festival), Lake Bishoftu Guda, Lake Koriftu and the seasonal Lake Cheleklaka. Bishoftu city is located 47km south of Addis Ababa, the capital city of the country, in Oromia National Regional State. Topographically the city is located in tepid to cool sub-moist mid highland about 1920 meters. |

Melka Kunture
Melaka Kunture is an archaeological site near the Awash River, a Palaeolithic site in Ethiopia. Stone tools dating back from 1.5 -1.8 million years were discovered there. Another rock-hewn church believed to have been constructed by King Lalibela . Visit the Tiya stele Park a site recorded by UNESCO as world heritage site. Three waterfalls lie downstream of the bridge across the Awash here, which provides access south to Butajira. |
