Gyeongbokgung
This is Seoul's grandest Joseon Dynasty-era palace and the seat of power for centuries before it was razed in 1592 by a Japanese invasion (and again by the Japanese in 1910). This was the first palace used by the Joseon Dynasty. Large parts have now been restored and the vast grounds also house the Joseon Palace Museum and the Korean Folk Museum. |
Lotte World
One of the world's largest indoor amusement parks that is located in Seoul by the Jamsil Station. It has a folk museum where one can have an insight into ancient Korean life. Lots of rides, and reopened in the summer of 2007 after a massive reconstruction. |
Namdaemun
The largest traditional street market in Korea. This market is located in the center of Seoul and is a famous shopping place for tourists. Clothing for children and accessories are the most-commonly sold goods in this market, but there's lots of food as well and many outdoor eating options, especially in the evening. There is also a huge digital camera market in this area. |
Mt. Sorak
Is known as the mountain that is never forgotten by anyone who has been embraced by it. Often described as a "peerless, beautiful woman," Sorak has a spiky mountain peak going through clouds like bamboo shoots, and crystal clear water flowing down from the rock formations and into ponds in the valleys and waterfalls. Through these we see that Sorak's compliment is not an overstatement. |
Nami Island Tour
Is an island of the Bukhangang River, which was made as a result of the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam. Its circumference is about 6Km, and its area is 430,000. Besides, equipped with the facilities for recreation and accommodation, a zoo, a botanical garden and pleasure boats, it is well qualified as a all-round recreation center. |
